The knee is a joint subjected to the continuous load and therefore prone to microtraumas and traumas resulting from everyday activities and sporting activities nowadays carried out by people of all ages.
In addition, for reasons related to congenital defects or acquired deformations of the articular axis (knee Varus or valgus) it can degenerate quickly even in a young person.
Knee operations with arthroscopic techniques, i.e.̀ minimally invasive thanks to the use optics and cameras, are used by many surgeons and have allowed to investigate and treat certain pathologies. Very frequent are the meniscectomies (the repair of the anterior cruciate ligament) performed in Italy.
